Devman - The device management utility for Symbian OS based phones for memory monitoring and task administration
I am looking for a developer to port the DevMan application to S60 V3 and/or UiQ.
It currently is on the S60 and S80 platforms, and it builds from a single source tree.
Over the past few years from the sites that it has been distributed on it has has over 60k downloads.
I have always intended to port it myself, but unfortunately I can never find the time to do this.
If you are interested in doing this port, then contact me on devman@mikeullrich.com
Regards
Mike

The purpose of this utility is to switch and manage running tasks and to monitor memory for your Symbian based Series 60 or Series 80 smartphone. In short it is a task, application, and device manager for your smartphone. DevMan (short for Device Manager) uses minimal memory and has many customisable features to help you utilise your smartphone in an efficient manner.
It is also a useful tool for programmers, enabling them to spy on any thread running on the Symbian based smartphone and monitoring memory usage by time.
It is designed to be run constantly in the background, can be switched to at any time by pressing a definable hotkey combination and can be enabled to be the first application visible on the opening of the smartphone case (limited to Nokia 9210, Nokia 9300, and Nokia 9500.
Features include:
- free memory graphing
- specified heap graphing
- task information
- hotkey switching (Symbian Series 80 only)
- modifiable views
- modifiable sample rate for graphs
- task switching
- task killing
- drive/disk information
- heap compression
- all program close/reopen
- device uptime display (Symbian Series 80 only)
- context sensitive help (Symbian Series 80 only)
- automatic start up at boot (Symbian Series 80 V2 only)
Note: Devman should work on any Symbian based smartphone using the Nokia Series 60 or Nokia Series 80 platforms. This includes some Siemens, Samsung, Sendo, Panasonic mobile phone models, as well as many Nokia models. Please check your manufacturers specifications for more information.
